My New Favorite Memory of You

*Warning Picture Overload*
I am FINALLY getting around to posting our wedding pictures.
All photos are courtesy of Deedra Pike Photography

Our morning started out pretty early since a certain Bride to Be forgot to account for the fact that she was in a different time zone....Oooops, my bad.

All of us girls took our time and enjoyed the morning, we were all pretty calm and relaxed the entire time.

BFF Since PreK finishing up my jewelry

We had rented the entire campus of a Bed and Breakfast, all the girls stayed in the main house, with all the guys in the guest house.
KPR+S We have all been friends/MOHs/roomates since 3rd grade

My girls all got theirselves ready, then worked together to put me together.

They all wrote sweet messages on my shoes.

My mom wanted to make sure SHE got to zip up my dress, problem was she took forever to get ready so we had to put everything on hold for her, then she tries to be cute...

Wrangling my veil was a true undertaking.  My impossibly thin hair did not want to hold 90" of tulle.

Scotty and I decided to have pictures prior to the wedding so that we could have more time and actually be present for the reception.

Our photographer took all the guys out and snapped a few of them, then I came out with all the girls.  It was freezing out! My poor girls were dying! While they all went back inside to warm up Scotty and I had our First Look inside in Ceremony area.

It was just the two of and the photographers, they snapped a few shots then let us have some time to ourselves.

We had written our vows, and exchanged those in our true style, we are pretty shy, quiet people. Reading our vows aloud would have been mortifying to both of us.

I had always been against having a first look, but we also knew it would be a hectic day, and we wanted to have our nerves settled and be relaxed when it was time to say I DO.

I am very happy with our choice, we were able to spend some peaceful time together before everything got started.
Soon after everything started flying by, Our ceremony was, short, sweet, completely traditional and to the point.

It almost felt as though we walked in and right back out.  Out day was full of laughs, one moment I will never forget as long as I live is when Bro. Ronnie left out lighting the unity candles.  Bro. Ronnie is our pastor and close friend.  He has performed hundreds of weddings over the years.  But, Scotty is like a third son to him, and I think he was just as nervous as we are.  He felt awful and we were laughing our heads off.  After the ceremony we walked back in and light our candle, while doing so our Music Man came jogging in and tripped, knocking over several lanterns and candles, Wax was flying everywhere, but it was typical for us.  Anytime there is a good laugh we're in.  Still to this day I cannot figure out why Scotty looks so happy and I look so BLAH.... I promise I was just as happy and excited.

Apparently, receptions are usually lengthy and constitute somewhat of a party, well in most Southern weddings, or atleast most I have experienced, its not the case.  When my colleagues heard there was no bar they thought it was the most absurd choice ever. We took a few more pictures together then came inside to eat and dance.
As we came in we had our first dance, followed by a Mother Son and Father Daughter.

The entire reception was pretty casual, Scotty's sister had made a slide show which was hilarious.

After we had time to eat we had the garter and bouquet toss. Then ran upstairs to change while everyone was getting ready for our exit.

I was changed, packed up, and ready to go but Scotty was just not in any hurry to get downstairs... We had sparklers as part of our exit and I could hear them sizzling already.  I finally drug him downstairs and took off running for the car.  We had not anticipated that many people still being there and using the sparklers, needless to say I was burnt SEVERAL times.

We said our Goodbyes and The Browns were Hawaii Bound!
